I was asked to open up a three act night at Birdy’s on Wednesday, and if you weren’t there, it was a great show. I wanted to give a quick shout-out to the other musicians that performed after me that night, and encourage you all to support them in any way you can.

The Lineup

I started out with an hour of covers, and after I was done, Marie McGilvray and Jenn Franklin, two singer-songwriters from Nashville, played a mix of their original songs. They both had a great sound, and I highly recommend checking out their websites and getting a hold of their music.

After their set, we all were treated to a a rare solo appearance from Pres Maxson, an all around awesome musician from Indianapolis. He played originals on his Telecaster as well as a keyboard, and even treated us to his version of the Die Hard song of YouTube fame.

It was a great night, and I look forward to playing with Marie, Jenn, and Pres again someday.
